On Sunday September 14th 2025, our U15BB Team participated in the Terry Fox Run held annually in Ayr. The team raised $1835 for Cancer Research! Way to go Ladies!

Our U18BB Team held a Winter Coat drive to help keep people of our community warm this winter! Great initiative ladies!

Our U15AA team held a food drive for It Takes A Village Ayr during their Home Opener! Way to go ladies!

In August our players and families came together to help out Ayr Rockets families that were affected by the Hurricane that ripped through Greenfield narrowly missing our arena. This crew spent 6+ hours of hard labour plus lots of help with big machinery to get yards cleaned up, sorted into brush piles and just helping our families affected. Thank you for your hard work!!

The U18AA Ayr Rockets flew into the North Halton Fall Classic with high expectations after finishing off their inaugural season in April. The Rockets, rejuvenated with a full lineup with help of the U18A Rockets, went undefeated in the round robin, advancing with a bye to the finals on Sunday. After a hard fought battle, the Rockets prevailed in overtime to take the gold and celebrate the first AA tournament championship in Ayr Rockets history! #EFFORT #RollRockets

The U9 Ayr Rockets had an incredible run at the Ayr Winter Blast 2025 Tournament, going undefeated through six games to claim the championship. The tournament started strong with a 5-0 win over Kitchener, followed by a dominant 7-1 victory against Walkerton. In their third game, the Rockets shut out Saugeen Shores 4-0, showing their defensive strength. The quarterfinals brought a rematch with Kitchener, where Ayr powered through with an 8-3 win. In the semifinals, the Rockets battled hard against Central York, securing a 3-2 victory to punch their ticket to the finals. All the girls played their hearts out, with a notable shoutout to the game MVPs: Charlotte, Jemma, Abby, Penelope, Eleanor, Charlie, Mackenzie, Brittany, Madison, Sawyer, and Frankie, who stepped up in key moments throughout the weekend. The girls showed determination, teamwork, and skill in every match, culminating in a hard-fought 2-1 victory in the final against Stratford. Every player contributed with relentless effort, and Charlotte came up big in net, making key saves to secure the win. Goals throughout the weekend were scored by Mya, Penelope, Eleanor, Vivian, Frankie, and Brittany, while the defense showed outstanding positioning and improvement with each game. An extra shoutout to Mya who was the Rockets points leader this tournament! U9 Rockets also participated in the Winter Blast Skills Competition, showcasing their individual talents. Eleanor raced to victory, placing first in the Fastest Skater event, Mya impressed everyone by winning Stick Handling, and Vivian was outstanding in the Shooting challenge. Our U22A Team took home the Bronze Medal with an OT winner in the Cambridge Roadrunners New Years Classic. This team is comprised of graduated Ayr Rockets who came to us last spring with the desire to continue to play competitive hockey. They live in 8 different cities and come together on weekends to play OWHL League with very few practices as they are all busy with school and work. This weekend they played 5 games with very little rest in between going 2-1-2 against very good competition. Way to go Rockets!

The first game we matched up against the Etobicoke Dolphins where Peina He kicked off the scoring, blasting a goal top cheese over the goalie’s glove. The pressure was overwhelming for Etobicoke and after the first period the score was 8-0 Rockets. Rockets played against the Lambeth Lancers, an evenly matched contest where both teams struggled to find shots in the first period. The Lancers came on strong in the second and we relied on our goalie, Myah Miners-St.Clair to bail them us multiple times. Marie Mintz stole a goal from the Lancers in the second, Lambeth scored early in the third period to even the contest. Ending in a 1-1 tie. The next day the girls played against the host, Niagara Rapids. The girls once again, brought their early morning A-game and blasted out of the gates against the Rapids leading to a 22-3 shot total in favour of the Rockets. The final score was 7-0. The forth game against Cambridge would be our toughest yet. The shots and penalties were back and forth as the intensity ramped up. Cambridge got out to an early first period lead by two but Ayr never gave up and Sadie Hunke scored a goal in the third period to put us on the board. Unfortunately the Rockets fell to the Roadrunners 3-1. Semi finals bound again against the Lambeth Lancers. Ryleigh Corbett and Marie Mintz netting 2 goals in the second securing us a trip to the finals with a 2-1 victory. In the finals against those pesky Roadrunners it was a back and forth match up. Brooklyn Ouimette and Peina He scored to put us up 2-0 but our goalie, Myah Miners-StClair was on fire keeping the shutout alive!! Champions!!
